It wasn't a recoverable thing on our end and we ended up getting factory mainboard replacements. It turned out that the mainboard was the root of the problem with a bad controller on it. We jokingly call it the self clean mode as it pushes dust out fast. System would be fine, next power up randomly, it would not POST or do anything else, but the fans would go into a high speed mode making the tower sound like a wind tunnel. Not that this would be the same for your computer, but at my job, we had a bad run of HP's that would do the same thing with their fans. And before they have to spend some $80 for a power supply (Current one is 750W), I was hoping someone else would have some other suggestions for them to try, to confirm that it is a power supply. My thought is the power supply is screwing up, but they don't have an extra one to test it with. It beeps when there is no ram, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. And I can't help her with that, since she is visiting with her dad out of town. She isn't comfortable with unplugging everything on the inside. The computer was dusted out, though it was already pretty clean to begin with. The keyboard and mouse don't receive power. She also checked all the cables and everything. I also had her remove the BOIS battery for 1 minute, and replace it. She also unplugged everything on the outside. I had her remove all the ram, and try to start the computer. The fans actually go crazy, spinning at full force. The lights would come on, the fans would spin (case fan, cpu fan, power supply fan, video card fan). Ive tried the RAM in 1 by 1, still nothing, And also with no GPU.Wife was using the computer when it suddenly froze. I just changed it from positive to negative, I don't know exactly what that does but after I done that I saved the settings and now im having this issue, I have tried taking the CMOS battery out multiple times to reset the bios to default hoping my monitor and keyboard/mouse would come on but its not doing it. funny thing is I can keep my PC turned on for 1 hour, fans running and everything, The monitor and mouse/keyboard just don't seem to want to come on. I can't do any of that as when I turn my PC on, My monitor is just on standby mode, And the mouse and keyboard don't turn on/light up. Keep in mind, changing offset from positive to negative can make a substantial difference, depending on your specified offset.Ĭan you post the numbers for your offset, CPU PLL, CPU PTT,VCCSA Have you tried loading Optimized Default in your bios?Īlso, have you tried lowering your overclock and CPU PLL? If anyone is wondering why I changed my cpu offset mode, Before this issue I just had a bluescreen for WHEA_Uncorrectable_Error, I turned my PC back on and I googled around and it said it was something to do with my CPU voltage, and one person suggested to try and change it from + or auto to -, So I restarted my PC and changed the cpu offset mode from + to -, after that it doesnt seem to be working and im not quite sure why.ĭoes anyone have any idea what I can do to try and solve this issue or should I just order a new motherboard? The pc turns on fine but nothing seems to be working.Įven my Corsair H80i pump LED changed from white to pink which is the colour I set it. Ive reseated the RAM/GPU and CPU and nothing seems to be working. I googled around and it said to take the battery out for 10 seconds and put it back in, I did that and no change, I also took the jumper from 1-2 and put it on 2-3 for 10 seconds then back again, Again no change. My GPU: Asus GeForce 660ti DirectCU II OC Edition. When the PC restarted it came on perfectly fine but I am getting no signal on my monitor and my razer keyboard & mouse aren't coming on or lighting up. So I was in my bios and I changed my CPU mode offset sign from + to -, I saved the settings and exited.
